The New Map Cup was a tournament hosted by teamfortress.tv and sponsored by marketplace.tf. It featured 8 maps not commonly played in leagues with the intent of gaining feedback for the creators. Participants included 5 [[ESEA_Season_24/Invite|ESEA Season 24 Invite]] teams ([[froyotech]],  [[EVL Gaming]],  [[mario party 4]],  [[fishy fishes]], and  [[Team Skull]]) as well as 27 open signup slots. It was held on the 25th and 26th of February, 2017.
