The Bureau was founded in 2014 for [[The Highlander Open]]. The original team name was "The Bureau of Military Science" (hence the tag "BMS"), however it was shortened to '''The Bureau''' as the military science bit made the team name sound a bit naff. After The Highlander Open, The Bureau reformed to play [[ETF2L Highlander Season 7| ETF2L Season 7]] in Division 5B, where [[Chronos]] gave up his role as demoman picking up the medi gun instead and remaining The Bureau's main caller ever since. The team had a shaky start to the season as a reform combined with having the hardest group left them in 5th place in the main season, many players were disheartened after this season and left which led Chronos to reform the team and [[Scrambled]], the sub heavy at the time, to take a few players to begin ''The Agency'' which would later pass players like [[Apex]], [[yahoo]] and Scrambled on to The Bureau.
After The Highlander Open, The Bureau reformed to play [[ETF2L Highlander Season 7|ETF2L Season 7]] in Division 5B, where [[Chronos]] switched from demoman to medic. The team underperformed throughout the season and finished 5th.


The Bureau initially planned to use [[UGC Highlander Season 15|UGC Season 15]] as a test season to trial new players. They lost the first game, which could be attributed to inexperience, as they were undefeated for the rest of the season, beating [[Team Colonslash: Express|TC: Express]] rather convincingly in the final. At this point The Bureau were aiming to take a winning team to compete in the High Tier of [[ETF2L Highlander Season 8|ETF2L's Season 8]].

As newcomers The Bureau went in to Season 10 to try to solidify their position as a Premiership level team. Chronos, at the start of the season, said that the team should be aiming at least for playoffs and ideally for 3rd place. The team dropped points between week 3 and 5 that they were unhappy about. A few players had other commitments and the roster was forced to be changed in mid season. Scrambled, despite being removed from the team during Season 9, repraised his role as heavy replacing [[Simba]] and [[Scriptzon]] picked up the sniper rifle replacing [[BeS]]. Regardless, The Bureau were still able to compete and took points off of their remaining fixtures. After some controversy regarding points lost for warnings, The Bureau finished in 4th place nonetheless taking the last playoff spot. Beating [[Highpander]] in the first round of players but losing against [[Strong Opinions]] in the Semi Final afterwards, The Bureau became 3rd overall.

After The Highlander Open, The Bureau reformed to play ETF2L Season 7 in Division 5B, where Chronos switched from demoman to medic. The team underperformed throughout the season and finished 5th.

Chronos decided to reform the team and used The Bureau in UGC Season 15 to trial new players. As a result, the team lost only their first game of the season.

The Bureau finished in 4th place taking the last playoff spot. And ended 3rd in the season, losing to Strong Opinions in the Semi Final. After a loss to Budget Toucans in Week 1 of Season 11 and citing a lack of commitment within the team, The Bureau was disbanded.
